And broad beans are of course a long culinary way from a cowboy’s campfire chow.

Nonetheless, it’s a darn good job we love them, particularly broad bean pesto, after this year’s previously reported Broad Bean Bonanza on the veg patch, resulted in us harvesting over 5kg from our small row. A record haul for sure.
