As Christmas edged ever closer, and with the British Larch cladding and roofing membrane now on, it was time to battle November’s almost constant rain and wind to get water tight before the snow.
Scaffolding went up and red tin roofing put on. This matches the roofing on last year’s rebuilt pig sties, not least because we bought enough material last year for both jobs. A good move as it turned out, given ever rising costs right now.

Finally water tight, the new barn could be insulated and boarded internally, even if the fit out and outside lean to work area are now a job for spring!

oh dear – i know what tom waits got up to in the red barn
